Many years ago I heard that Aldi had inexpensive produce.  Still I didn’t enter the store for another year until someone told me there were really good bargains.

I wish someone would have told me then how much money I was wasting on many items at Walmart.  The difference in price is astronomical on many very comparable items.

Fast forward several years and now our family has many favorite items at Aldi beyond the great produce!  I never buy bread, butter, milk or eggs anywhere else, and I can’t find flour tortillas, salsa, baking supplies for less anywhere without a coupon.  I could go on and on about how much I love Aldi, but the point is, I wish I’d known about them sooner.

Heart Shaped Strawberry Muffins

Special treats for Valentine’s day can be healthy and affordable for your family when you shop at Aldi.  Normally I do something nice for my kids on Valentine’s Day, something just a little out of the ordinary.

This year I wanted to create a quick and fun Valentine’s breakfast.  I decided on these simple and easy Heart Shaped Strawberry Muffins with supplies I bought at Aldi for under $5.  My kids are muffin lovers and will have a muffin and a smoothie before they head to school.

Baker’s Corner Blueberry Muffins are $1.99 per package at Aldi.  You can pick up a package of Strawberries this week for under $3!
