When I first met my husband he told me one of his favorite foods was ham balls. I had never heard of such a thing and thought he was crazy. I wasn’t wild about the flavor the first few times I tried them, but have learned to love them.

What are ham balls? Ham balls are a regional Pennsylvania food for sure. Ham loaf meat is sold in our local stores. It is a combination of ground ham and ground sausage. The result is a salty-sweet tasting meatball. We love ours glazed with brown sugar, mustard and vinegar sauce. Definitely an acquired taste.
